Specialized Visa Center of the Slovak Republic provides services for receiving documents for short-term Schengen visa category "C", which is not a matter of urgency.
Schengen short-term visa category "C" is necessary if you plan to visit Slovakia for business, tourist or private purposes and duration of your stay in the Schengen area will not exceed a total of 90 days within 180 days.

  • HOW TO APPLY DOCUMENTS FOR VISA

      You address to the Centre with prepared package of documents at any time from 09:00 to 18:00.

      You will meet a specialist of visa application center which:

      • carry out a preliminary check of your documents;
      • give you a voucher for an electronic queue;
      • If necessary, prompt you to take advantage of the additional service of filling the application form.

       

      In order of electronic queue you walk to the window of receiving documents, where:

      • Specialist at the visa application center will process your documents;
      • Also, you will need to fill out consent for using the service of service provider and the reverse form of delivery of your passport if you wish to receive your passport by courier delivery.

       

      Payment for Services
      Payment of fee, service and additional services occur  at visa application center. As a proof of filing and payment of fees in cash you get a bill with cash a check for payment.
       
      Transfer of documents to the Consular Section
      Your documents will be delivered to the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic on the next business day from the date of submission of the visa in application center in Uzhgorod.
       
       
  • WHO CAN FILE THE APPLICATION FOR A VISA AT THE VISA APPLICATION CENTRE

      In the Centre carried out the reception of documents from the travel agencies accredited in the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Kiev and the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod and individual acceptance of documents in the presence of the applicant.
       
       
  • VISA FEE

      According to the Visa Code, the visa fee is 60 EURO. For children from 6 to 12 years, the visa fee is 35 EURO.
       
      However, there are bilateral agreements between the EU and the following 9 countries (the so-called visa facilitation agreements), which require a visa fee of 35 EURO. Citizens of the following countries pay a visa fee of 35 EURO: Ukraine, Russian Federation, Albania, Moldova, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Georgia
       
      There are also a number of categories of applicants who are exempt from visa fees. Preferential categories listed in the Visa Code, in bilateral agreements or under national law. You can familiarize with this information in the paragraph "Which applicants are exempt from paying the visa fee?" in the "Visa fees" department.
       
       
  • DOCUMENTS APPROVAL

      The Member State that competent to consider an application for a unified visa and to take a decision on it:
      • The member state whose territory is the sole destination of the trip;
      • If the trip includes several destinations, the Member State is the one where territory is the main destination of the trip in terms of duration or purpose of stay;
      • If the primary destination can not be determined, the Member State is through the external boundary of which the applicant intends to enter the territory of the Member States.

       

  • HOW LONG DOES THE CONSULATE TAKE A DECISION ON THE APPLICATION?

      According to the Visa Code, the decision on the application should be taken within 15 calendar days from the moment of receipt of documents to the consulate.
       
      The EU has concluded bilateral agreements with the following 9 countries (so-called visa facilitation agreements), which provide for a period of consideration of documents up to 10 calendar days from the date of receipt of documents to the consulate of the member state: Ukraine, Russian Federation, Albania, Moldova, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Georgia.
       
       
  • WHEN AND WHERE CAN I GET PASSPORT

      Documents issued by the Consulate will be delivered at the Centre.
       
      In case if you are planning to get a passport at the Centre, employee of "Pony Express" will notify you of your willingness of your passport for issuance by phone, sms, or e-mail.
      • You can get a passport at the Centre during office hours from 09:00 to 18:00.
      • You have the opportunity to order the delivery of your passport and other documents to the address convenient for you.

       

  • WHICH DOCUMENTS SHOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOURSELF, WHEN YOU GO TO A TRIP TO SCHENGEN VISA?

      Even if you have a Schengen visa it does not mean that the owner will automatically be able to enter the Schengen area, because it is also necessary to pass an inspection of the customs and border guard at the state border.
      The immigration officer can require documents, that certify the purpose of the visit, terms of the stay, availability of funds for living during the visit and for returning to homeland or for trip to the third country, and confirmation that these funds were obtained legally.
       
      The Embassy of Slovak Republic in Ukraine recommends to the applicants for entry to the country to have medical insurance and if applicable: an invitation certified by the migration police department and/or consent to departure for underage children.
